Expected

What is the state?
An amount named in the agreement.
What does it mean?
The agreement states an amount, but no funding action has been confirmed.
What remains protected?
Nothing financial is held yet. The agreement wording and roles are recorded.
What is blocking progress?
Funding has not been started by the payer.
Who acts next?
The payer.
What action is available?
Connect money to the agreement.
What reference or record exists?
The agreement reference.

What not to do

  • Do not begin work that depends on confirmed funding.

Common misunderstanding. An amount written in an agreement is often mistaken for money already held.

Funding initiated

A funding action has begun.
What does it mean?
A payment instruction has been started. Money is not yet confirmed.
What remains protected?
The agreement version and the expected amount.
What is blocking progress?
The provider has not returned a confirmed outcome.
Who acts next?
The payment provider, then SecurePay.
What action is available?
Check the current funding status.
What reference or record exists?
The funding reference shown at the moment of payment.

What not to do

  • Do not start a second payment for the same amount.

Common misunderstanding. A payment screen closing is often read as a completed payment.

Funding pending

SecurePay is waiting for a reliable provider outcome.
What does it mean?
The result of the funding action is not yet known with confidence.
What remains protected?
The agreement, the expected amount and the funding reference.
What is blocking progress?
The provider outcome.
Who acts next?
Nobody needs to pay again. SecurePay continues checking.
What action is available?
Open the funding record and read the last checked time.
What reference or record exists?
The funding reference and the last checked time.

What not to do

  • Do not attempt another payment.
  • Do not treat a pending result as a failure.

Common misunderstanding. Pending is often treated as failed, which causes duplicate payments.

Funding confirmed

What is the state?
A confirmed provider outcome has been recorded.
What does it mean?
SecurePay has recorded confirmation that the amount entered the agreement-controlled process.
What remains protected?
The confirmed amount is connected to the agreement and follows the recorded conditions.
What is blocking progress?
Nothing about funding. Progress now depends on the conditions.
Who acts next?
The performer, and whoever confirms the conditions.
What action is available?
Begin the responsibilities that required funding first.
What reference or record exists?
The confirmed funding reference.

What not to do

  • Do not treat confirmed funding as a completed payment to the recipient.

Common misunderstanding. Funded is often read as paid out.

Agreement-controlled

What is the state?
Money connected to the agreement.
What does it mean?
The amount is connected to the agreement and has not yet become eligible for the next step.
What remains protected?
The amount progresses only in line with the recorded conditions and approvals.
What is blocking progress?
One or more conditions are still open.
Who acts next?
The participant responsible for the open condition.
What action is available?
Review the open conditions in the agreement workspace.
What reference or record exists?
The agreement reference.

What not to do

  • Do not ask for a release before the conditions are satisfied.

Common misunderstanding. People assume the recipient can withdraw at any time.

Under review

What is the state?
A recorded question affects part or all of the amount.
What does it mean?
A question or hold applies while the review is examined.
What remains protected?
The affected amount is preserved while the question is examined.
What is blocking progress?
The review has not recorded an outcome.
Who acts next?
Participants asked to respond or provide evidence.
What action is available?
Respond to the review and add the records you hold.
What reference or record exists?
The review reference.

What not to do

  • Do not assume a review means someone did something wrong.

Common misunderstanding. A review opened is read as wrongdoing proven.

Payment Ready

What is the state?
An eligibility result from the current evaluation.
What does it mean?
The required agreement conditions have been satisfied according to the current evaluation. This is not settlement.
What remains protected?
The amount stays agreement-controlled until an eligible release is requested.
What is blocking progress?
A release has not been requested yet.
Who acts next?
The participant permitted to request the release.
What action is available?
Request the eligible release.
What reference or record exists?
The Payment Ready evaluation reference.

What not to do

  • Do not tell a recipient that money has been sent.

Common misunderstanding. Payment Ready is frequently mistaken for paid.

Release requested

What is the state?
A recorded release instruction.
What does it mean?
An eligible release instruction has been recorded. The rail may still be processing it.
What remains protected?
The instruction, its amount and its destination are recorded.
What is blocking progress?
The payment rail has not confirmed the outcome.
Who acts next?
The payment rail.
What action is available?
Watch the settlement record for a confirmed outcome.
What reference or record exists?
The release reference.

What not to do

  • Do not request the same release again.

Common misunderstanding. A release request is read as arrival in a bank or mobile account.

Settling

What is the state?
The settlement process is underway.
What does it mean?
The movement has been passed to the rail, but the final outcome is not yet confirmed.
What remains protected?
The recorded instruction and its reference.
What is blocking progress?
The rail confirmation.
Who acts next?
Nobody. The rail is processing.
What action is available?
Keep the reference and check the settlement record.
What reference or record exists?
The settlement reference.

What not to do

  • Do not create a second release for the same responsibility.

Common misunderstanding. Delay is read as loss.

Settled

What is the state?
A confirmed settlement outcome.
What does it mean?
SecurePay has recorded a confirmed settlement outcome from the rail.
What remains protected?
The full record of what was agreed, evidenced and paid.
What is blocking progress?
Nothing for this amount.
Who acts next?
Nobody, unless another responsibility remains open.
What action is available?
Download or keep the settlement record.
What reference or record exists?
The settlement reference.

What not to do

  • Do not delete your reference — it is how the record is found later.

Common misunderstanding. One settled responsibility is read as a completed plan.

Reversed

What is the state?
A previously recorded financial event has been reversed.
What does it mean?
An earlier event no longer stands, and the affected amount has returned to an earlier position.
What remains protected?
Both the original event and the reversal remain in the record.
What is blocking progress?
The reason recorded with the reversal.
Who acts next?
Usually the payer or the participant named in the reversal record.
What action is available?
Read the reversal record and the affected amount.
What reference or record exists?
The original reference and the reversal reference.

What not to do

  • Do not assume the whole agreement has ended.

Common misunderstanding. A reversal is read as cancellation of the agreement.

Under reconciliation

What is the state?
Inconsistent, delayed or uncertain provider information.
What does it mean?
SecurePay is resolving what the provider records say before recording a final position.
What remains protected?
Every reference already recorded stays available.
What is blocking progress?
Conflicting or missing provider information.

SecurePay, with the provider.
What action is available?
Keep the reference and check the last checked time.
What reference or record exists?
The transaction reference and the last checked time.

What not to do

  • Do not make another financial attempt while the position is uncertain.

Common misunderstanding. Reconciliation is read as money lost.
