What does funded mean?

Funded means a confirmed amount is connected to the agreement. It does not mean the recipient has been paid.

Why it matters

Recipients begin work on the strength of 'funded'. They should — but they should also know that release still depends on the conditions.

How it works

  1. 1The payer starts a funding action; the state becomes funding initiated.
  2. 2SecurePay waits for the provider outcome; the state may be pending.
  3. 3Once confirmed, the money is agreement-controlled and follows the conditions.

A practical example

James funds the cement agreement on Monday. The money is agreement-controlled from Monday, but Kamau Hardware becomes eligible only after delivery is confirmed on Thursday.

Common misunderstanding

Funded is read as paid out.

What to check before acting

  • Check that funding is confirmed, not initiated or pending.
  • Read which conditions still block progress.
